Sheryl McClung McConney had over 30 years of experience teaching children and providing tutoring services in public and private school systems. A former principal and teacher, Sheryl was an education innovator who trained under Marva Collins at the Westside Preparatory School in Chicago, and had achieved success educating disadvantaged children.

Seeing that children needed more educational services than No Child Left Behind funding could offer, in 1999 Sheryl established Envision Learning Center, a tutoring provider for low-income children who attended schools that failed to meet No Child Left Behind standards.

Over the years, Sheryl recognized that children learn better with close interaction and support, delivered creatively and at the right time. So in 2009, She relaunched the organization as Envision Children, with programs such as Power Saturday and Academic Summer Enrichment to engage and teach children in exciting and measurable ways.
