The 13th Annual Lighting the Way - Scholarship Fundraiser is one of three major fundraising events for Envision Children. Ticket sales and donations provide scholarships to the organization's Academic Summer Enrichment Program (ASEP).
The ASEP is an eight-week summer educational day camp accredited by the American Camping Association and the Ohio Department of Education. Student instruction is concentrated on math and reading, but includes electives in other STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) subjects.
The two primary goals for ASEP are to mitigate or eliminate summer learning loss and to help students not performing at Ohio proficiency rates for math and reading to get get back on track for their grade level.
The event will include a silent and live auction. Live music will be provided by Like Minds . A brief program will highlight 2017 achievements and plans for 2018. Food will be provided by Prime Cincinnati (appetizers and other dishes for a late lunch or early dinner). Non-alcoholic (soda and tea) beverages are included in the ticket price. Guests will receive one complimentary drink ticket redeemable for beer and wine only. A full cash bar will also be available to all guests.

The 2018 Lighting the Way Annual Scholarship Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 2-5 p.m. at Prime Cincinnati. The cost to attend the event is $45 per person. Tickets will be available for sale starting on January 1, 2018
