Academic Showdown

IT – IS – ON!!

Envision Children brings together fourth grade students each year to battle it out in a “Jeopardy-style” academic bowl game. School teams compete in math, reading, social studies and science based on the Common Core content standards.

It’s a fun way to help prepare students for their standardized and proficiency tests, and a great opportunity for students from different schools and districts to meet and interact.

This year, an enthusiastic audience of nearly 50 parents, family and friends turned out to see students from Bond Hill Academy (720 points) and Winton Woods Elementary School (920 points) compete, working together as teams and learning to come together in consensus before submitting each answer.  Each of the students – both the winning team and the runners up – received a special educational toy.

A special thank you to Cincinnati Bengals players Vincent Rey #57, Vontaze Burfict #55, Chris Lewis Harris #37, Darqueze Dennard #21, Josh Shaw #26, Rey Maualuga #58, and Team Chaplain La Morris Crawford.
